Okay, I'm obsessed...

These new macro tubes opens all kinds of doors in photography. We've not been traveling much so you can see why I'm a tad obsessed with either the dog or macros. I found thisgal on the car the other day which was a perfect spot for him.

The striking green color of her body against the sparkly blue on the hood of the car made for a nice contrast of color.

She patiently wait for me to run up to the room, grab the camera, change the lens and snap a few rounds off before she showed her true diva side and flew away. (I only assume it was a "she", who knows).

Waiting for Baby...

So these are a little out of order but I was going back thru some of my pics and found these from my cousins shower a few weeks ago. The theme of the nursery was farming which makes sense since she's a vet and they own a 365 acre farm with cows!

It's funny to go thru the pictures especially since he was just born a few weeks ago (which means this shower was more than a few months ago -gah! where has the summer gone!)

They have the most amazing little farm house that her husband put alot of work into and made beautiful! What I love most is their wrap around porch (see above). It goes like this along all 4 sides of the house and served as a great shelter for all 60 people when the rain started.

Mother of all spiders...

So we were visiting relatives in Deleware and Aunt Lee said she wanted to introduce me to someone. She walked me outside and pointed to the large web among her ice plants. She said, "Meet Clementine!" and pointed to a very large spider who was the owner of said web and had taken up residence in her plant.

Where most people would have figured out a way to do away with the spider, Aunt Lee has made friends with it and given it a name. She said it had been there for a few weeks and wasn't hurting anything so why make it move. I love Aunt Lee!

Pink sand beaches...

So one of the reason's I've been slacking is the fact that we went on a cruise to Bermuda in July! Unfortuantley, Hurricane Bertha was on the same cruise:)
El Capitan made an excellent judgement call and kept us out of port for one extra day so we could enjoy the sun (while it poured and howled in port) and then dropped us off for just one day.
All in all not a bad trip! One day in port was plenty for me on this trip. It gave us a taste of what cruising was like (which was awesome! oh the food....) and made us want to take another. Maybe a european itinerary next time thought.
These shots are around Hamilton and Horseshoe Beach. We took the bus from port around the island to take in all the sights. It's quite an experience as they drive on the left side of the road and drive like maniacs!

We've been slacking...

I have no excuse:) I've been slacking with both photography and posting. We've taken a few pics here and there but nothing that's really pushed me to post. I did finally start going thru what we've done in the last few months and found some cool stuff. I'll have a few more posts after this one with some of our new stuff!
This guy was hanging out on our pepper plant on the back patio. He was nice enough to hold still until I could find the camera and swap the lens for our prime with two extenders.
It was kind of creepy because he'd turn and look at me every so often. The whole series is pretty cool because you can see his movements (or her movements - i can't tell).
Finally, after about 15 min of being in his face he'd had enough and moved to a place on the plant that I couldn't get to. Darn! I got a few great shots anyways and thought I'd stop annoying him and go about my day.
