Key West and other ramblings
I wanted to do a whole expose on our new flash but alas, I've not figured the darn thing out yet:) We bought the Canon Speedlite 580EX at the recommendation of our cousing Bob who's a professional wedding photographer (http://www.rmasonphoto.com/) and it has so many fun functions that I've just not had a chance. So, I figured I'd share a few from our trip to the Florida Keys!!
This fun guy was not afraid of us at all. I think he was secretly hoping I'd feed him something tasty. I was about 3 feet away and he posed nicely:)

The image here on the right was the path out to Smathers Beach in Key west. It was pretty windy that day due to a batch of strong storms working their way through but the wind made for some great sailing out on the water. Unfortunatley we dont have any pics of the sailing adventure - I didn't want to chance dropping the camera in the salt water:)
This scene is from a BBQ place just off of Marathon Key - Porky's! They had the typical Key West vibe going and it was awesome! The BBQ was great too!!!
We'd been chasing Paris Hilton around about an hour earlier and were super hungry! Actually, Paris never showed but about 35 super super expensive cars did as part of the BullRun TV show (Spike TV).
All of the above shots were taking with our Rebel XT and the L series lense. No ND's needed on these days - it was rather overcast and hazy due to the fires up north.
